Dawson High School Band Boosters, Inc.
A non-profit organization providing support for the Dawson Eagle Band and Catalyst Color Guard (collectively referred to as the "Band") through volunteer service and financial assistance. To achieve this goal, it takes many dedicated volunteers working as a team throughout the year. The help of each member’s family is crucial to provide the necessary support for a successful program. The Boosters' assistance is needed to fund items not typically included in the Pearland ISD budget. Each year (usually in May), the Booster Membership approves a budget which helps support important items such as:
-
Clinicians who train the students in the finer details of using their instrument and assist in improving the band’s marching and concert skills
-
Fees associated with the drill writing
-
Entry fees to contests
-
Transportation to contests
-
Purchase of special music
-
Purchase of guard equipment and supplies
-
Maintenance of equipment
-
Purchase of new equipment
-
Senior scholarship program
-
End-of-the-Year Celebration Banquet

FUNDRAISING

Booster funds come through membership dues, the sale of spirit items, and our fundraising events like Rock-a-thon, car washes, the color guard contest we host in the Spring, and others such as a mattress sale and a holiday shopping market. Funds raised through monthly Spirit Nights go directly to the scholarship fund.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year the Boosters award several scholarships to seniors. A percentage of annual membership dues are allocated to the scholarship account as well as all of the proceeds from Spirit Nights. Follow our social media for the Spirit Night schedule.
OPERATIONS
The volunteers in the operations committees help with all aspects of moving the students and equipment to performances and ensuring that everyone is taken care of throughout the day. This includes uniform care, food, water, and chaperoning. These committees always need more help. Volunteers can commit to as many or as few events as their personal schedules can accommodate.
SPONSORSHIP
The Dawson Eagle Band and Catalyst Color Guard needs and welcomes the support of the Pearland community. Sponsorship opportunities are available at different levels with corresponding benefits.
